Krista was recently awarded the Silver Medal for “Old Friends” at the Eastern Regional Exhibition by the Oil Painters of America.
Krista attempts to represent subject matter truthfully, without artificiality or sentimentality. She chooses her subject when she feels a connection. She believes our world needs art to help us stay in touch with our humanity. She is drawn to the play of light and shadow, but also the mystery of a foggy day.
