“Surface Play” – Adventures in Watermedia

This workshop a great opportunity to play with your watercolors and add vibrant originality to your paintings. You are invited to mix your watercolors with new materials and techniques to advance your artistic journey. 

Using Complementary Forces

You will begin by using materials such as charcoal powder and acrylic mediums to create abstract, random starting points for our work. These spontaneous surfaces encourage exploration for further development. 

Next you will take control with choices such as which reference images to use, color schemes and overall composition to complete a work of art. 

Taking this journey will help you build confidence in your creative instincts and unleash new facets of your artistic voice and style. 

Let what lies beneath rise to the surface.
