My art springs from curiosity - about nature and culture around the world, people’s faces and bodies, social issues - and leads me into experimentation with new techniques and media. …

My paintings are the product of a lifetime of artistic endeavor. I studied photography, directed commercial slide shows, designed, manufactured and sold costume jewelry nation-wide for ten years, received a Bush Leadership Fellowship and became an early adopter of Photoshop, wrote a travel column in the Times Picayune Newspaper in New Orleans for five years, authored and illustrated three published books, taught Photoshop, designed and manufactured scarves - all before I began to travel overseas more extensively and focus solely on plein air and studio painting. Now I’m having even more fun.
