This workshop is Karen’s most popular workshop! Wire drawings are done with pencil and permanent markers, but they look like they are wire sculptures! That’s why Karen invented the name, “wire drawings”. Don’t worry if you struggle with your drawing skills; wrong lines are actually beneficial to the final outcome! These sketches are a combination of gestural drawing and contour drawing, with lots of tricks thrown in to produce fabulous results. No reference necessary; we will be doing a wire drawing of a rooster or a chicken and add watercolor at the very end. This process will help your drawing skills as well as your design skills.
